In residential UV applications the most important factors are
- The UV output - high output UV lamps
- The cumulative effect of UV on germs
Additional engineering to achieve high first pass kill rate is usually not required.
If a household has a special situation – one or more family members having
much difficulty with allergies, asthma or weak immune system – more elaborate UV
installation could be designed, implementing more UV lamps or a reflective
material to intensify the UV radiation.
