American Air & Water, Inc. Joined the Indoor Air Quality Association.
As
a part of its continuous effort to ensure better living and working
conditions for its customers through products that create a healthier indoor
environment, American Air & Water, Inc. joined the Indoor Air Quality
Association. As a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association, American Air
& Water will work for popularizing the best practices for improving the
indoor environment through creating awareness of the existing problems and
presenting methods and products for improving the two most important
elements – air and water. The IAQA membership will present the opportunity
for a direct interaction with indoor air quality professionals and
technicians and for bringing the various applications of ultraviolet
disinfection technology to their attention.
The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) was established in 1995 to promote
uniform standards, procedures and protocols in the Indoor Air Quality
industry. Since its inception, IAQA has become a leader in training and
education for IAQ practitioners. The association is committed to education
and research, and serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas within the
emerging IAQ field. IAQA is a non-profit, 501(c)(6) organization.
Membership in the Indoor Air Quality Association is beneficial to HVAC
Practitioners, Design Engineers, Microbiologists, Environmental Consultants,
Industrial Hygienists, Building & Facilities Managers, Attorneys,
Manufacturers Reps and many others in related fields.
Mission Statement: The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is a nonprofit,
multi-disciplined organization, dedicated to promoting the exchange of
indoor environmental information, through education and research, for the
safety and well being of the general public.
IAQA has developed different educational and certifications programs. The
Certified Mold Remediator (CMR) program offers training, testing and
credentialing for professionals who identify and remove indoor
microbiological contaminants. The Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE)
program includes a comprehensive course on IAQ. Instruction on practical,
useful subjects for the IAQ practitioner is the focus.
IAQA will unify with the two other leading trade organizations, Indoor Air
Quality Council and Indoor Environmental Standards Organization, serving
professionals in the indoor environmental quality industry. They have
announced plans for the consolidation and unification of their programs and
activities. The move will result in the creation of a powerful, membership
organization, an independent certification board for indoor air quality
professionals and tradespersons, and a separate standard-setting
organization to create long-needed standards for indoor environments.
