Explosion proof water disinfection systems are available for potentially explosive environments in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries.
The explosion-proof water units use Nitrogen Purge systems with Class 1, Division 2, Group A-D rating.
Class 1 are locations in which flammable gases or vapors are or could be present in the air in quantities sufficient to produce explosive or ignitable mixtures.
Division 2 are locations in which hazardous concentrations are handled, processed, or used but are normally within closed containers of closed systems from which they can escape only in cases of accidental rupture or breakdown.
Group A through D are atmospheres containing acetylene; hydrogen, or gases or vapors of equivalent hazard, such as manufactured gas; ethyl-ether vapors, ethylene or cyclo propane; gasoline, hexane, naphtha, benzene, butane, alcohol, acetone, benzol, lacquer solvent vapors, or natural gas.
The explosion proof UV water disinfection systems feature 316 stainless steel Ra 15 finish vessel with removable heads and sensor/view ports. The ultraviolet chambers are positioned between a control panel and an exhaust box, with a nitrogen purge module mounted on top of the control panel. Control Panel is NEMA 4X 304SS with window kits. 304SS Rear exhaust enclosure for purge system. IP 54 316 ss junction box. The UV units are offered in various configurations and number of ultraviolet lamps to cover a wide range of flow rates.
