Privacy Statement And Other Policies



Refund / Cancellation Policy:

The American-Lights® UV air cleaner covered under the 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee with a 30-day manufacturer’s refund can be returned not later than 30 days from day of purchase for a full refund. This Guarantee is only valid for product purchased directly from American Air & Water, Inc. and when the return is authorized by American Air & Water, Inc.

All cancelled orders or products returned unopened which are not covered under the 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee are subject to a 30% restocking fee.

All returns of products that have been used must be authorized by American Air & Water, Inc. In addition to subtracting the 30% restocking fee the refund for these returned products will be pro-rated based on the condition of the product and the time it has been used.

For all warranty returns an RGA number must be obtained from American Air & Water, Inc. Along with the RGA number American Air & Water, Inc. may provide a Return label.

If your returned product does not meet all applicable criteria listed below, it will be rejected and sent back to you at your cost. Consequently, your RGA will be withdrawn, any credit request will be denied and you will be charged for all shipping to and from our location. By requesting an RGA and/or shipping a return in violation of this policy you agree to accept our shipment of the return back to you and to the payment of all shipping costs to and from our location.

All returns must meet the following criteria:
Unopened or "like new" condition
Original packaging
Valid Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number
Original packing slip or a copy of the invoice
The return must be complete and include all accessories
Manufacturer documentation (manuals, warranty cards, registration information)

Delivery Methods and Timing of Shipments:

The following shipping options are available:

UPS Ground - 3 to 7 business days
UPS 2 Day - 2 business days
UPS 3 Day Select - 3 business days
UPS Next Day Air – next day

FedEx Express Saver - 3 to 4 business days
FedEx 2 Day - delivery within 2 business days
FedEx Standard Overnight - delivery within 1 business day

Some orders may require 24 to 48 hours processing time before shipping
Orders received during weekends and holidays are processed on the first work day after that
Saturday deliveries are available on special request and an additional fee
No deliveries are made on Sunday and during official holidays
Same day shipping is available, but not guaranteed, if the order is received before 4PM EST on items which are in stock
For custom orders and orders of products not in stock estimated shipping date is provided at time of order or shortly thereafter when the production scheduled becomes available
International shipping options are available – international airfreight and international ocean freight
All retail orders shipped within SC will be charged sales tax
Delivery times are estimated but not guaranteed

Information Collection and Use
American Air & Water, Inc. is the sole owner of the collected customer information. We do not sell, share, or rent this information to any third parties, except as outlined in this policy. The information we collect from our customers is needed to process orders and provide order confirmations, order status updates, tracking numbers and to provide pertinent information on new products. Information collected includes name, shipping address, billing address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address and payment information such as credit card number or credit references.

If you elect to receive special promotions or notifications, such as for lamp replacement, your e-mail address will be used for the delivery of these messages. If you elect not to receive future e-mails we will remove your e-mail address from our distribution lists.

In some cases we ask our vendors to complete the fulfillment process on our behalf. In these cases the minimum amount of information, like your shipping address, is provided to our trusted business partners. Otherwise, we do not provide your information to any third party. See Sharing below.

All the customer information collected will be used to process orders. When applying for credit and payment terms or during the order process, you will have to provide financial information such as your credit references or credit card number and expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we can not complete processing your order, we will use your contact information to get in touch with you. In order to process your credit card, we must share your personal and financial information with the merchant bank for authorization and approval. This process is protected by encryption of all transmitted information. We do not share your personal information with any third parties, except those specified in the Sharing section of this policy.

Product Registration
In order to ensure proper warranty coverage of your product, you must complete the registration forms provided on-line or the warranty registration card included with your product. You provide your product model and quantity and your contact information, including your name, e-mail address, telephone number and street address. This information is used to provide you with annual lamp replacement notifications via e-mail or mail.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information, and we do not distribute or share IP information with any third parties.

In some cases we ask trusted third party companies to perform functions on our behalf. These functions may include any of the following: order fulfillment, drop shipping, package delivery, technical support and credit card processing. The third parties we contract for these purposes have limited access to your personal information and may not use it for any other purpose.

Also, for certain services, like product installation, American Air & Water, Inc. has agreements with authorized third party business partners in the customer's respective territory. When you request us to recommend an authorized local dealer or installer and if we have a trusted partner in your area we will provide their name and telephone number to you and also we will provide your contact information to them so they can set up an appointment to evaluate your needs and perform the requested service.

The testimonials posted on our website share positive experiences that you had with American Air & Water, Inc., with certain products or with certain services. The testimonials section is moderated to ensure accurate and positive testimonials. Published testimonials are genuine, but we reserve the right to edit or alter them in order to remove personal information or statements that may be a violation of law. American Air & Water, Inc. reserves the right to post or remove any testimonial at its discretion.

Other than your pen name, which we may or may not use, your personal contact information will not be disclosed in our use of your Testimonial.

American Air & Water, Inc. at its discretion may post pricing on special offers and promotions directly on the public part of its website. Customer specific pricing (i.e. distributors', contractors' prices, etc.) is available on-line in the password-protected respective websites.

Call or e-mail for all other prices.

Prices subject to change without notice.

Past due invoices are subject to a 1.5% per month interest fee. Accounts that are Past Due for over 90 days are turned over to collection.

Checks returned unpaid are subject to a service charge of $25 or the maximum allowed by law.

UV Lamp Recycling Policy:

Recycling Made Easy

Federal regulations require commercial and industrial entities to manage mercury-containing light bulbs / lamps as a hazardous waste after they burn out. Even though households are exempt from these federal regulations some states and counties may have more stringent requirements regarding used lamps than the federal regulations.

To help its customers and to keep the planet clean American Air & Water, Inc. offers the following lamp recycling options:

  1. Commercial entities – facilities, distributors, contractors:
    1. Purchase a pre-labeled 4' Standard EasyPak™ Lamp Recycling Box* and collect and store the old lamps in the box (30 – 60 lamps depending on lamp diameter and length) per federal regulations. One low price $59.95 covers the container, shipping to the recycling center, the recycling fees and the Certificates of Recycling which will be issued in your name.
    2. Collect, securely pack and ship the used lamps to American Air & Water, Inc. American Air & Water, Inc. will make arrangements for the lamps to be sent to a lamp recycling center. A fee of $1 per lamp will be charged to the sender's account.

  2. Households are encouraged to securely pack and ship the used UV lamps to American Air & Water, Inc. No fee will apply for lamps purchased from American Air & Water, Inc. or if the used lamp is replaced with a new lamp from American Air & Water, Inc. For all other lamps a fee of $1 may apply.
    * 8' boxes also available.
