UV Liquid Tank
Conditioning Units - Description & Technical Specifications |
Designed to disinfect air in the headspace of
liquid storage tanks, American Air & Water's
Liquid Tank Conditioning UV / filtration systems are well suited for water,
liquid sugar and syrup applications where warm, moist conditions encourage
bacteria, yeast and mold growth. Through UV disinfection and filtration these UV
systems can provide air 99.97% free of microorganisms - bacteria, yeast, mold
and mold spores. The LTC UV systems are mounted outside the tank, so there is
concern about broken lamps or electrical components being introduced into the
stored product. An extensive array of options allows us to provide equipment
that fits each customer's unique application, as well as stringent UV
sterilization / disinfection and filtration requirements. If our standard UV
liquid tank conditioners and the available options do not fulfill your needs, we
will be happy to design a unit to your specifications.
Liquid Tank Conditioners For
Tanks Under 20,000 Gallons
AB
Series Liquid Tank Conditioners mount on top of liquid storage tanks (as shown)
and provide unsurpassed filtration and UV sterilization. Using 304 stainless
steel, two 10-micron electrostatic pre-filters, one 0.3-micron Absolute HEPA
filter, a 140CFM blower motor and one or two UVC germicidal lamps (based on tank
capacity), these conditioners will filter and sterilize air in the tank headspace. Positive
pressure created by the blower forces clean, disinfected air into the tank at all
times. Tanks holding 10,000 US gallons (37,850 liters/37.85m³) and more require
two lamp units – LTC-2AB SSF.
LTC
AB Series Standard Features
- LTC-1AB SSF - for tanks up to 10,000 gallon - one 36" Slimline germicidal UV lamp GML005
- LTC-2AB SSF - for 11,000 to 20,000 gallon tanks - two 36" Slimline germicidal UV lamps GML005
- Two electrostatic 10-micron pre-filters FLT025 (10" x 10" x 1")
- One 0.3-micron Absolute HEPA filter FLT035 (10" x 10" x 6")
- 140 CFM blower motor
- 304 stainless steel construction
- Designed to mount on top of tank
- 3" diameter PVC IPS threaded female coupling to tank
- Electronic ballast capable of operating from 110V to 277V at 50/60Hz
A Liquid Tank Vent (LTX) unit should be installed on the tank exhaust to prevent
contaminated air from entering if rapid product dropout creates reverse suction
through the exhaust. The AB Series LTX Vent unit consists of two 10-micron
electrostatic (FLT025) pre-filters and one 0.3 micron Absolute HEPA (FLT035)
filter housed in a 304 stainless steel enclosure.
LTC P Series
Designed for applications that don't require the high efficiency filtration of the AB Series, P
Series conditioners and vents do not include the 0.3-micron Absolute HEPA filter
and one of the electrostatic pre-filters featured in the AB Series.
LTC-1P SSF - Liquid Tank Conditioner - single electrostatic filter, 140 CFM
blower, one GML005 UV lamp
LTC-2P SSF - Liquid Tank Conditioner - single electrostatic filter, 140 CFM
blower, two GML005 UV lamps
LTX10P SSF - Vent - single electrostatic filter (FLT025)
